Calculixy takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to opt out of personalized advertising. Last updated: May 2026.
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Calculixy ("we," "us," or "our") and governs data collection and use in connection with this website. By using the Site you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
2. Information We Do Not Collect From Calculators
All calculations on Calculixy run entirely within your browser (client-side JavaScript). The numerical values you enter into our calculators — including loan amounts, home values, income, health metrics, dates, and any other inputs — are never transmitted to our servers, stored, logged, or shared with any third party. We have no access to your calculator inputs. We do not intentionally request, collect, or wish to receive sensitive personal data such as Social Security numbers, bank account credentials, tax identification numbers, insurance policy numbers, or medical record numbers through any calculator or contact form.
3. Information You Voluntarily Submit
If you use our contact form, you may provide your name (optional), email address, issue type, and a descriptive message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry, investigate reported calculator errors, and improve site accuracy. We do not sell, rent, or share your submitted contact information with third parties for marketing purposes. Submitted information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your enquiry, unless legal obligations require a longer retention period.
4. Automatically Collected Information — Log Files
Like most websites, Calculixy and its hosting infrastructure automatically collect certain technical information in server log files when you access the Site. This may include:
- IP address (collected by the hosting server)
- Browser type, version, and language preference
- Operating system and device type
- Referring URL (the page you visited immediately before Calculixy)
- Pages viewed and timestamps of access
This information is used in aggregate for website security, performance monitoring, and understanding general traffic patterns. It is not used to identify individual users and is not linked to personally identifiable information.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Calculixy uses cookies in two categories:
5a. Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to function correctly, including storing your cookie consent preferences. They do not collect information used for advertising or analytics and cannot be disabled while using the Site.
5b. Non-Essential Cookies (Require Your Consent)
With your explicit consent via the cookie banner, Calculixy may deploy the following categories of non-essential cookies:
- Advertising cookies: Used to serve relevant advertising through third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These cookies may track your browsing activity across websites to personalize ads served to you.
- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Site in aggregate, helping us improve functionality and content. Data is anonymized and aggregated before analysis.
You may update your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner displayed when you visit the Site. Withdrawing consent will prevent new non-essential cookies from being set; you can clear cookies already placed through your browser settings.
6. Google AdSense and the DoubleClick DART Cookie
Calculixy participates in the Google AdSense program, which allows Google LLC and its partners to serve advertisements on this Site. Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to Calculixy and other websites on the Internet. The information collected via the DART cookie enables Google to deliver interest-based advertising and to measure ad performance on behalf of advertisers.
You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie and personalized advertising at any time using the following official opt-out tools:
- Google Ads Settings: www.google.com/settings/ads
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out: www.aboutads.info/choices
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out: optout.networkadvertising.org
Opting out prevents Google from serving personalized ads based on your interests. You will continue to see advertising, but ads will not be targeted to your browsing history. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Other Third-Party Advertising Partners
Third-party advertising vendors and ad networks operating on Calculixy may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to serve advertisements, measure ad performance, and build interest profiles for targeted advertising on other websites. These partners operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We have no access to data collected by third-party advertising technologies beyond aggregated reporting provided by those partners. For a list of participating advertising partners and their opt-out mechanisms, visit the Network Advertising Initiative.
8. Analytics and Performance Tracking
Where analytics services are used, data collected includes pages viewed, time on page, traffic sources, and device/browser type. All analytics data is processed in aggregate and pseudonymized form. Analytics data is not combined with personally identifiable information and is not used for advertising targeting. Where required by applicable law, analytics cookies are only deployed with your prior consent via the cookie banner.
9. Your Privacy Rights — GDPR (EU / EEA / UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and applicable national law:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data where we no longer have a lawful basis to hold it.
- Right to restriction of processing: Request that we limit how we use your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: Request a copy of data you have provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., advertising cookies), withdraw consent at any time through the cookie banner without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through our Contact page using the "Privacy/Data Request" issue type. We will respond within 30 days of receipt of a verifiable request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
10. Your Privacy Rights — CCPA / CPRA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you the following rights:
- Right to know: The categories of personal information collected, the business or commercial purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared.
- Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing": Calculixy does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain cross-context behavioral advertising activities involving third-party cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law. You may opt out via the cookie banner and the industry opt-out links in Section 6.
- Right to non-discrimination: You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights.
To submit a request, use the "Privacy/Data Request" option on our Contact page. We will respond within 45 days, extendable by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary.
11. Children's Privacy
Calculixy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately through our Contact page and we will take prompt steps to delete such information.
12. Data Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted through contact forms against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We strongly recommend that you never enter sensitive personal or financial credentials — including Social Security numbers, banking passwords, or tax identification numbers — into any website, including Calculixy.
13. Links to Third-Party Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites for informational purposes. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every external site you visit.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
15. Contact and Privacy Requests
For privacy enquiries, data access or deletion requests, or to exercise any rights described in this policy, please contact us through our Contact page using the "Privacy/Data Request" issue type, or email us directly at support@calculixy.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 30 days, or within the shorter period required by applicable law.
